Privacy policy
EInvoice Translator is run by Ingenious AI. This page says what the service stores and why, in plain terms — only the practices the product actually has.
What we store when you convert an invoice
When you submit the converter form, the invoice data you enter is processed on our server to build your files. The generated UBL 2.1 XML, the Factur-X PDF and a copy of the submitted invoice data are stored on the server under a random reference code, so your download links and — for Pro plans — the CSV, Xero and QuickBooks exports for that invoice can be served. Our conversion log keeps only the reference code, the invoice number, the seller and buyer countries, whether the invoice validated, the number of validation errors and the plan used.
Pro features store more, tied to your license key: the monitored clients you save (name, country, business size and VAT ID), and usage counts for metered actions. License keys themselves are never stored in full — only a SHA-256 hash of the key is kept, and revocation is a flag on that hash.
If you confirm a manual PayPal payment on the buy page, the email address you submit is recorded with the plan you chose so your license key can be delivered to you. The payment itself is handled by PayPal; we never receive or store your card or bank details.
Cookies
This product sets one cookie of its own: when you unlock a Pro or Team license key, a cookie named ei_key holds that key so Pro features stay unlocked. It is httpOnly (page scripts cannot read it), runs for 30 days, and is set only when you unlock a key — browsing and converting on the free tier sets no cookie from us.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Advertising cookies are set by the advertising vendor, not by this product's own code.
How Google uses data, and your opt-out choices
Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services here: How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.
You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of personalised ads from many third-party vendors at once at aboutads.info/choices. Opting out does not stop ads entirely; it stops them being personalised to you. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser settings — the free converter and checker work without our license cookie.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data. Invoice data you submit is used to produce your files and exports, not for advertising profiles of our own.
To ask what we hold about you, or to have stored conversion files or saved clients deleted, contact us at [email protected] — see the contact page.
